Fumio Toyoda Shihan (1947-2001) is the founder of
the Aikido Association of America (AAA) and the
inspiration out of which Zenshinkan Dojo was created.
His organization and vision of quality Aikido practice
and instruction continue to thrive in the students
at Zenshinkan Dojo as well as in his students around
the world.

Edward Haupt Sensei
Edward Haupt Sensei (1943-1999) is the founder of
Zenshinkan Dojo and was the student of Fumio Toyoda
Shihan. Haupt Sensei drove his students to push
beyond their perceived boundaries and develop themselves
in a martial Way that would carry into their daily
lives. The students of Zenshinkan Dojo are the direct
result of his teachings and spiritual guidance.

Damon Apodaca Sensei
Damon Apodaca Sensei, the Dojo-Cho of Newport Aikikai (Enshinkan Dojo), was instrumental in the stabilization of Zenshinkan Dojo after the death of its founder. His dynamic and powerful technique raised the quality of Aikido at Zenshinkan Dojo and improved the teaching methodology of the current instructors.
