Chapman Sensei began training in Aikido and Zen under Edward Haupt Sensei  in 1993 and trained under Robert Caron Sensei until his retirement in 2016. He is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of Arts and a Master Auto Technician, who has run his own automotive repair business for over 20 years. He currently holds the rank of Nidan.
